Leadership in Supervision: Frameworks to Success (NFA)

Instructional Hours: 12.00

Course Objective: To provide students with the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform leadership duties effectively in the fire service environment.

Course Description: Major topics covered in this course include addresses professionalism, resilience, emotional intelligence, and situational awareness, as well as managing conflict, delegating mentoring, coaching, empowering, and building collaboration and synergy for professional growth. Methods of instruction include lecture, discussion and classroom activities.

Successful Completion: Students must attend all class sessions and complete required classroom activities.

Prerequisites

ICS 100 level and ICS 200 level training. MFRI Fire Officer I (MGMT 201) or Emergency Medical Services Officer I (MGMT 203) is recommended.
