MARYLAND REGIONAL NATIONAL DISASTER LIFE SUPPORT COALITION
University of Maryland College Park, through its Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute (MFRI), the University of Maryland Medical Center through its R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center (STC), The Johns Hopkins Hospital, through its Office of Critical Event Preparedness and Response (CEPAR), the University of Maryland Baltimore County through its Center for Emergency Education and Disaster Research (CEEDR) and the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems (MIEMSS) have agreed to work together as the "Maryland Regional National Disaster Life Support Coalition" (Coalition). The Coalition through its separate participants has extensive resources and expertise making it uniquely qualified to provide National Disaster Life Support (NDLS) courses to meet the needs of the state of Maryland.
Vision - The reduction of death and disability from natural and man made disasters through the delivery of the NDLS family of courses.
Mission - As the National Disaster Life Support Foundation (NDLSF) approved Regional NDLS Educational Center, the Maryland Regional NDLS Coalition will provide leadership, direction, expertise, instruction and educational opportunities in an effort to effectively improve the disaster preparedness of health care providers and citizens though out the region.
