Creating Change in the Fire Service - Online Version (NFFF)

Course Objective: To provide students with the knowledge, skills and abilities to create change in the fire service and lead a culture of safety.

Course Description: The roundtable discusses how to lead an organization where safety in fire service is a primary focus, including making safety a priority, handling resistance, extending responsible behavior modeling to "informal leaders" in the ranks, crew resource management, fostering an environment of trust, and risk mitigation. This is a self-paced online course.

Successful Completion: Students must complete all online activities.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course. It is strongly suggested that this module be taken in conjunction with PDI 260, the Leadership, Accountability, Culture, and Knowledge (LACK) online module, or PDI 160, the traditional delivery of Leadership, Accountability, Culture, and Knowledge (LACK).
