National Fire Sprinkler Association Seminars

NFPA 25 - Inspection, Testing, and
Maintenance of Water-Based Extinguishing Systems
A one-day seminar recently updated to the 1998 edition of NFPA 25.  This seminar is a must for those communities adopting this Standard.  Beginning with a review of need for inspection, testing and maintenance rules; and addressing the top issues that tend to surface when first implementing the Standard; the seminar then reviews the regulations for all water-based extinguishing systems.  The seminar also describes the operation of the various systems and their components in a workshop environment.   The seminar is structured for student participation and as such the attendees must come prepared with a copy of the most recent NFPA 25 Standard.

Basic Sprinkler Protection of Storage Occupancies
This one-day program provides the participant with the latest procedures for design, layout, and installation of fire sprinkler systems providing fire control and suppression for storage and warehouse occupancies.  The course will discuss in depth the sprinkler protection for general storage and rack storage.  Participants will understand the criteria required in design and sprinkler selection for the protection of storage and warehouse occupancies. Goal – to familiarize the participant with the rules that govern storage occupancies and the NFPA Standards that contain those rules.

Fire Pumps for Fire Protection
This one-day program provides attendees with vital information about the design and installation of fire pumps. The NFPA 20-99 and the NFPA Fire Pump Handbook are used as reference materials. The course will familiarize the attendee with the NFPA Standards that govern the proper design and installation of fire pumps  and increase the participant’s knowledge and application of fire pumps in fire protection systems.
