Supervision, Management, and Leadership
Emergency Response Team Leader Seminar
The three day program is designed to provide the basic
knowledge and skills for leaders of industrial emergency
response teams and fire brigades.
This program develops basic leadership concepts and
skills, explores incident command systems and industrial
incident management, and reviews regulatory compliance and
regulatory standards for industrial emergency preparedness.
Industrial incident management situations are simulated.
Participants will complete the requirements for On-Scene
Incident Commander under OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120, Hazardous
Materials.

Emergency Action & Fire Prevention Planning Seminar
The
one-day program is designed to provide participants with an
overview of the OSHA 1910.38 regulation.
Plan to attend the program for assistance in
understanding the requirements of 1910.38, a review of emergency
action plans and fire prevention plans that have been developed,
and insight into administering the plans.
The Institute will provide generic information to assist
the attendees in developing their site-specific emergency action
plans.

Domestic Preparedness
Response to Terrorism
Students will be
trained in security considerations, identifying signs of
terrorism, anticipating unusual response circumstances,
assessing information, and initiating self-protection actions.
They will also apply their knowledge and identify ways to
manage site safety, document the incident, and debrief
personnel. Also
included is the interface with the emergency services and the
incident management system utilized by the field responders.

Respiratory Protection Program Development Seminar
This
one-day seminar will enable you to develop, document, and
maintain written procedures for a respiratory protection
program.
The new OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard (29 CFR
1910.134) will be reviewed.
The course will emphasize what the respiratory program
requires, medical evaluation and how to comply, fit testing and
demonstration, training, record keeping, and program evaluation.
Interactive group sessions will be formed to review
respirator requirements and determine where it meets the new
standard.

National Fire Service Staff and Command
This course, held
in cooperation with the International Association of Fire Chiefs, is a
week-long high-intensity concentrated program intended to
involve the student in various peer group activities.
The program is designed to assist emergency service
officers in modern concepts of emergency management by
developing professional knowledge and technical skills.
The course is open to emergency service officers above
the company officer level.

National Fire Service Emergency
Medical Services Staff and Command
This
course, held in cooperation with the International Association
of Fire Chiefs, EMS Section, is a high intensity, concentrated
week-long program specializing in presentations for emergency
medical service leaders.
This program is designed to develop the skills and
professional knowledge required for leadership in the EMS
community and assist those officers in modern concepts of
emergency management, developing professional knowledge and
management skills.
The course is open to emergency service officers above
the company officer level.

10 HOUR OUTREACH COURSE IN OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARDS FOR GENERAL INDUSTRY
The 10 hour course in Occupational Safety and Health Standards for General Industry provides instruction on OSHA General Duty Clause, Subpart D: Walking and Working Surfaces, Subparts E & L: Means of Egress and Fire Protection, Subpart H: Hazardous Materials, Subpart I: Personal Protective Equipment, Subpart J: Permit-Required Confined Spaces and Lockout/Tagout, Subpart S: Electrical, and other topics which include Safety and Health Programs. Students attending all sessions will receive a 10 hour training completion card.

Students attending all sessions will receive a 30 hour training completion card.
