Objective: To provide the student with leadership skills of mid-level managers, especially fire company officers.

Learning Outcome: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to apply appropriate decision-making styles to given situation, outline critical steps in problem-solving methods, identify services provided by a "typical" fire company and the resources needed to provide these services, understand the relationship between resources and services provide by a fire company and describe the requirements involved in running effective meetings.

Course Content: Major topics covered in the course are decision-making, problem solving, brainstorming and meeting management.

Methods of Instruction: Lecture, discussion, audio/visual aids and examinations.
