Fire Police Orientation

Course Description: Major topics covered in the course include personal conduct and professional duties; traffic control; road flare and traffic cone placement; crowd control; hazardous materials laws, regulations, and standards; use of the North American Emergency Response Guidebook; and helicopter operations. This course includes team-focused practical exercises.

This class will require additional student work outside of normal class hours to include, but not limited to; take-home assignments, PTIs, study guides, and assigned readings from the textbook. This may also include coursework that must be completed prior to the first class session.
