Fall Protection-Competent Person

Instructional Hours: 8.00

This one-day program is based on the OSHA Safety Standard for General Industry, 29 CFR 1910, Subpart D: Walking and Working Surfaces and 29 CFR 1926, Subpart M: Safety Standard for Fall Protection in the Construction Industry. This program will review the Fall Protection Standards, Personal Protective Equipment for Fall Protection and when Fall Protection is necessary. Addition topics will include the responsibilities of the employer, training required for employees and when refresher training is required and review of other standards having relevance to employees trained. Job Hazard Analysis and the duties of the Competent Person in fall protection will be also be discussed.
