Trench Safety and Rescue Operations

This three-day program is designed to provide the participant with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform soil analysis, selection and use of protective systems, and serve as the "Competent Person" as specified in the requirements of the OSHA Regulations 29 CFR 1926, excavation standards, and MOSH requirements. The second day will involve actual hands-on experience with safe shoring techniques and a simulated trench collapse rescue demonstration. The third day will involve trench rescue operations at a simulated collapse, in which participants will properly shore, enter, and remove endangered victims.
