As a part of the course, instructors will learn about new processes, course materials, technologies, and tools that will be utilized in ALS courses and how they enhance the learning for the student clinician. Finally, instructors will have time to put this new knowledge into practice by facilitating learning in small groups utilizing this new information and tools. After successful completion of this course, instructors will be able to: describe the instructional goals of new ALS courses being offered and demonstrate teaching methodologies that enhance the learning of student clinicians through processes, tools, and technology; demonstrate the use and teaching of a variety of ALS clinician tools new to prehospital medicine; and facilitate learning for a small group of other instructors that combines the material and tools learned about in this course, utilizing the framework of a lesson from a new MFRI ALS course.
