Understanding Kitchen Fire Suppression Systems
Instructional Hours: 6.00
The Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute (MFRI) invites all Maryland Fire Marshals and Code Enforcement Officials to attend a focused seminar exploring the application and enforcement of NFPA 17A, NFPA 96, and fire suppression systems in mobile food operations. This seminar provides an invaluable opportunity for Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) to stay current with critical codes that impact kitchen fire suppression systems, including those increasingly found in food trucks and mobile vendors.
This seminar will be delivered by Dave Pelton, Vice President, National Association of Fire Equipment Distributors (NAFED). Dave brings real-world expertise in code application and system functionality. His sessions will include technical guidance, industry insight, and peer discussion to help AHJs effectively evaluate and enforce current standards.
This seminar is designed specifically for Maryland Fire Marshals, Inspectors, and Code Enforcement Officers involved in reviewing, approving, and inspecting kitchen fire suppression systems.
