This course prepares fire service instructors to effectively plan, deliver, and evaluate rescue-based training using adult learning principles, safety-focused instructional design, and performance-based evaluation methods. It includes the role of the Fire Service-Rescue Instructor, Adult Learning and Fire Service Education, Instructional Design for Rescue-Based Course, the Demonstration and Facilitation of Rescue Skills. This is a didactic based class that prepares the Rescue Instructor to be better prepared to deliver quality rescue-based instruction.
